While the Southern Ontario weather really starts to heat up this summer you may notice your air-conditioner having a hard time keeping up with your cooling demand. This could be an indication that your A/C system needs service. If your A/C system seems to run all day or your house isn't cooling properly, there are a few things you could check before calling us for service.

• Have you checked that your furnace filter is clean and is easily passing air?
• Since your A/C system ran all last summer you may not have noticed a decline in efficiency as the summer cooled off. Be sure to check the A/C unit outside to make sure the coils are clean and free from debris which can inhibit the system from working properly. The exterior unit is weatherproof, so an easy way to eliminate the leaves and grass is by simply giving it a good spray with the hose. If possible, get the coils from behind to force the dirt out.
